BRITAIN'S STRONGEST MAN 2008
Minehead, 7th - 12th June

Come and watch some of Britain's Strongest Men testing their strength on seemingly impossible tasks. Qualifying Events take place from 7th - 9th June with challenges such as Tyre Flip and Chain Drag, Barrel Loading and Atlas Stones. The Final Events take place on 11th and 12th June with the Winners Presentation on the Beach.

The Events take place on the Seafront, Beach, Butlins and the Harbour.

IRONMAN 70.3 TRIATHLON UK
Wimbleball Lake, Exmoor, 15 June 2008

1,500 of the worlds fittest international athletes will be competing on Exmoor for a place in the UK IRONMAN 70.3 Triathlon World Championship to be held in Clearwater, Florida this Autumn.

The Ironman UK 70.3 event consists of a 1.2 mile swim, a 56 mile bike and a 13.1 mile run. The athletes will be competing for a an opportunity to qualify for one of the 100 qualifying slots for the inaugural Ford Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Clearwater, Florida.

Six of the Ironman 70.3 global events will carry slots for the 2006 Ford Ironman World Championship, which is double the distance and held in Hawaii each October!

Events are being held all around the world at venues including California, St Criox, Florida, Baja, Honu, Scandinacia, Brazil, Monaco and Cancun Mexico. Race organisers, IRONMAN UK, is now proud to add Exmoor to this global IRONMAN list!

The 2012 Olympics Promo bus will be at the venue, supporting this event. It is a fully sign-written double-decker, giving you an early chance of visiting this bus.

With the Wimbleball event in June offering 100 qualifying slots for the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships in Clearwater, Florida it is sure to attract an extremely large crowd being one of the biggest events Wimbleball has seen so far.
